Playstyle Tier List

Weapons do not queue themselves. A 12-player Underground War 2.0 server is six people on Red and six on Blue, each holding the same free tools, and the team that assigns jobs better usually takes the point bar. This page ranks playstyles, not loadouts. Read it next to the weapon tier list. If your lobby is full of snipers standing on spawn, you do not need another rifle — you need a digger and a flag runner.

Average session length is about ten minutes. There are no VIP servers and no voice or camera. You will not get a five-stack comms channel. Playstyles have to be readable from movement: the person cutting a low tunnel is the digger, the person holding mid with a sword is the rusher, the person who never leaves the high hole is the perch. Call the job with what you do, not with a clan tag.

Digger — S when the map is still solid

At round start the fortress is a dirt sandwich. Someone has to open lanes. A digger holds the shovel, takes the slow 1 point / $1 per two blocks, and cuts a path the rest of the team will actually use: under mid toward the enemy flag, a drop onto the nuke pad, or a side hole that bypasses the obvious surface peek. Digging is the mechanic page; this rank is about when the job is correct.

Wins: first two minutes, stacked enemy snipers, any plan that needs a flag later. Loses: last 30 seconds of a tied round when nobody is converting the hole into kills or a capture. Stop digging and swing.

Shovel speed Cash is this playstyle’s upgrade. If you never path, that Cash is wasted. High-prestige diggers (community talk, not an official rank name) can melt dirt fast enough to collapse a perch while a rusher walks the new hole.

Rusher — S in tunnels, B on surface

A rusher lives on sword, maybe rocket if they own pass 49150929, and takes 7-point fights in the corridors the digger opened. This is the default job for a new account because a stock sword still contests a stock sword. It becomes a stomp when sword damage is upgraded and the other team is still swinging a day-one blade.

Wins: any round that has already been dug, defense of your own flag hole, collapsing a nuke attempt with melee. Loses: walking the surface into a cooldown-stacked sniper. If you keep dying at the lip of a hole, you are not a rusher, you are a feeder.

Pair with combat tips. Do not main rusher in a lobby where three teammates already are — then you are all taking the same 7-point pie.

Sniper perch — S after cooldown, C before it

A perch player picks a high hole or a surface box, funds gun cooldown, and taxes anyone who leaves dirt. Flag carriers, nuke callers, and sloppy rushers are the farm. This job has the highest skill floor on the list because a missed shot plus a long cooldown is a free sword kill for the other team.

Wins: mid-to-late round when lanes exist and the enemy must cross open space to score. Loses: the opening minute when nobody is visible, and any round where your own team never digs you a safe angle. A perch with no hole is a spawn camper who contributes 0 points.

If your ranks progress is still low, do not lock this job. Play rusher or digger until cooldown Cash exists.

Flag runner — A, game-winning when the path is ready

Fifty points and $50 is the largest legal swing besides a nuke wipe. A flag runner waits for a dug route, grabs the enemy flag, and walks it home without greed-peeking. This is not a prestige flex. It is a timing job. The flag guide covers anticheat pads and routes; the tier note is simple: do not run flag on a closed map.

Wins: close scoreboards, unlocking nuke by dumping 50 onto the bar, punishing a team that over-committed to your spawn. Loses: first-minute hero runs across the surface, and any attempt while three enemy swords are sitting on their flag hole.

One dedicated runner plus one digger beats six people all chasing kills.

Nuke caller — S as a closer, F as an opener

The nuke is mid-map. Interact, 15 seconds, opposing team dies, Launch a NUKE! badge if you are the one who started it. The nuke guide is the how-to. The playstyle rank: someone on the team has to watch the bar and walk over when it is ready. If six people are farming shovel points while the device is live, you are throwing a wipe.

Wins: any round where your points already lead or the 50-point flag just landed. Loses: tapping it at 0:00 of a round you are not ready to hold, or calling it while you are the only one alive on the pad. Fifteen seconds is a long time in a 12-player fight. Bring a rusher.

Support / medkit — B, A in sweaty lobbies

One medkit per life. Support play is not a healer MMO spec. It is: duck into a hole, top off, hand the corridor back to the rusher, and stop a chip-death from paying the enemy 7 points. First Aid speed Cash is for players who already survive long enough to channel. In a pub of randoms this job is optional. In a lobby of high-prestige swords it is how you stop a stomp.

Wins: holding a flag hole, surviving to recapture, keeping a nuke caller alive through the 15-second window. Loses: standing still in the open to heal, or buying First Aid before sword and gun.

How a six-stack of jobs should look

You will almost never have a coordinated six. Aim for a messy version of: two digger/rush hybrids, one perch if cooldown exists, one person who will actually grab flag, and whoever is nearest mid when the bar lights up for nuke. If you are solo queue, pick the job the scoreboard is missing. A team at 20 points with no tunnel does not need another sniper.

For the tool ranking that sits under these jobs, stay on weapons. For the criteria that put Nuke and Flag on the meta list at all, go back to the tier list hub.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Underground War 2.0 players.

What is the best playstyle for a new account?

Rusher in tunnels, with some digging so you have a hole to fight in. Skip perch until gun cooldown is upgraded. Flag only after a path exists.

Should every team have a sniper perch?

One is enough, and only if that player has cooldown Cash. Three perches and no digger is how you lose flag and nuke.

When do I stop digging and call nuke?

When the team bar is high enough to interact with the mid-map device. Fifteen seconds still needs a rusher to hold the pad. Read the nuke guide.

Is medkit support a real role?

In pubs, optional. In high-prestige lobbies, yes — one heal stops a 7-point death. It is still one use per life, so do not stand in the open to channel.
