Underground War 2.0 Underground War version timeline

Dated stamps only — no invented 2.8.x patch bullets.

Version History

This page is a timeline of dates we can actually pin. It is not a patch-note archive. capserg does not publish one. If a row below has no mechanic attached, that is intentional. For how to read the live version string, stay on the updates hub.

2008 — Stickmasterluke’s original

The Underground War (the classic, not 2.0) was created by Stickmasterluke in 2008. It is the dirt-fortress Red vs Blue template: dig, fight, steal a flag. capserg’s experience description still credits that original by name. 2.0 is a remake, not a silent reupload of the 2008 place.

2014 — original uncopylocked

In 2014 the original was uncopylocked. That is why so many Roblox users grew up on clones, classroom copies, and “underground war but with X” places. It is also why a 2022 remake could exist without pretending the 2008 files were secret. This wiki does not track those clones. They are not Underground War 2.0.

1 June 2022 — Underground War 2.0 launches

capserg opened place 9791603388 (universe 3624423521) on 1 June 2022. That is the release date this wiki uses. The loop that still holds in 2026 was already the pitch: dig tunnels, sword fight, snipe, win. Server size 12 (6v6). Free to play, optional Robux shop and rocket pass.

Creator profile: capserg. Group: Underground Games (id 518426636).

8 June 2022 — attributions

On 8 June 2022, a week after launch, the public credits / attributions pass is dated. The experience description still points at the DevForum thread 1826354 for credits. If you are looking for a launch-week patch blog, this is the closest dated community-facing note: the remake named its sources. It is not a balance dump.

2022–2025 — live service without a notes feed

Between launch and the 2026 stamps, the place stayed up, picked up hundreds of millions of visits, and did not grow a public Trello. This wiki will not invent a year-by-year patch list for that gap. What we can say from later stats: by 2026 the experience sits around 927 million visits, 621k favorites, about 87% rating, typical 2–4k CCU, average session about 10 minutes, no VIP servers, no voice/camera.

24 December 2025 is the documented peak CCU: 15,504. That is a Christmas population spike on the existing 12-player template, not a dated content drop we can describe.

27 February 2026 — snapshot 2.8.20

A 27 February 2026 snapshot of the experience description showed Version: 2.8.20. Use that as a mid-winter 2026 pin. We do not have a changelog for how 2.8.20 differed from 2.8.19. Do not backfill one from memory of a YouTube title.

4 August 2026 — version 2.8.32 (current stamp)

On 4 August 2026 the description stamp moved to 2.8.32, which is the live number this wiki treats as current. Still no public patch blog. Still the same scoring (2 blocks = 1+$1, kill = 7+$7, flag = 50+$50, nuke 15s) unless you can reproduce a change in a round today. Tool upgrades remain sword damage, gun cooldown, shovel speed, First Aid speed. Rocket remains pass 49150929 at 350 Robux.

If you are reading this after another bump, trust the Roblox description over this paragraph, then come back when the wiki row is updated.

2026 like-milestone codes (339K–360K)

Codes are the public cadence. In 2026 the like-milestone strings this wiki documents run from 339K through 360K. As of September 2026, 360K is the working code listed on the codes hub (Cash and a potion). 339K is an earlier 2026 pin, not a live redeem. These strings are not version numbers. 360K does not mean the client is 3.60. It means likes crossed a threshold and capserg posted a gift.

Extra place, not a chapter

Secret Place (place 9868504358, on the order of 47k visits) exists under the same creator. It is not a season, not a prestige dungeon, and not part of the 2.8.32 campaign because there is no documented campaign. Mentioned here so you do not confuse its visit counter with a 2.0 patch.

How to use this timeline in a round

You do not need 2008 lore to win a flag. You need it when a random tells you “the original was better” or “2.0 just came out.” 2.0 has been live since June 2022. The current build string is 2.8.32. Prestige talk and 300% sword reports are account progression, not a 2026 patch — see ranks. Tool strength for the current string lives on the weapon tier list. Official URLs live on the links hub.

No row above should be expanded with a guessed bullet like “added medkit” or “nerfed nuke to 10 seconds.” If a future description stamp appears without notes, add the date and the number. Stop there.
