Underground War 2.0 How to Launch the Nuke
Find the mid-map control, wait for the unpublished threshold, and survive the 15-second countdown.
The nuke is why Underground War 2.0’s title bar still says NUKE. It is the round-ending button: when your team’s points are high enough, a player starts a 15-second countdown from map center and the other six die. Cash and rank XP pay out. The person who launched it can unlock the Launch a NUKE badge. Most rounds that complete a launch are already over; the countdown is the funeral, not the fight.
This page is only the nuke. The scoring table is how you get the bar high enough. Badge context sits on Players / Badges. If the HUD clicks are still new, Getting Started and Controls cover First Aid and Nuke before you walk mid.
Where the button and the object are
Treat the nuke as two things that have to agree:
- HUD control. NamuWiki places it on the middle-left of the screen, in the same band as First Aid. When the team has not met the threshold, clicking it does nothing useful. When it is live, that HUD click is the launch.
- Map-center object. Sportskeeda and match footage put the physical nuke in the middle of the dirt map, between the two fortresses. You interact with that object to start the same countdown.
In practice you walk to mid, confirm the HUD is offering the launch, and interact. Standing on the object before the bar is ready is just standing in the most shot-at tile on the map. There is no second nuke on a tower, no handheld nuke, and no grenade substitute.
The unpublished threshold
The point total that unlocks the nuke is unpublished. capserg has not posted a number on the Roblox page, and this wiki will not invent one. Community clips show launches after a fat lead of kills and at least one flag, but “fat” is not a threshold. Watch the HUD. When the control lights, the threshold is met. Until then, keep scoring from the How to Play table: two dirt blocks (or a brown-outline wall) for 1, a kill for 7, a flag for 50.
Because the number is hidden, do not throw bodies at mid “to check.” A dead checker is seven points for them and a slower bar for you. Assign one player to glance at the HUD between fights. The other five should be digging, holding mouths, or running the flag — the actions that actually fill the bar.
The 15-second window
Once someone starts the nuke, the countdown is about 15 seconds. That window is the whole skill test.
If you launched it: you are now the most valuable body on the map. The other team will run mid to kill you, hoping the interaction cancels or that they can stall until your teammates waste the countdown in a messy fight. Do not go wandering for a vanity clip. Sword out, back to a dirt lip or a teammate, and let the timer run. First Aid is legal here if you have not used it this life; it is a once-per-life HUD heal, so spending it to live through second 12 is correct.
If your teammate launched it: you are on clock defense. Two jobs beat highlight kills: keep enemies off the launcher, and keep their flag runner from printing 50 points during the chaos. A tunnel mouth that looks at mid is worth more than a surface chase. Combat Tips covers peeking those mouths without donating a 7-point trade.
If the enemy launched it: you have 15 seconds to make the countdown fail. The honest options are killing the launcher and collapsing mid with numbers. Teleports, over-wall paths, and speed scripts will explode you or strip guns — the anticheat does not care that you were “just contesting nuke.” Use the four surface holes and existing tunnels from the digging guide. A heroic 1v6 on the object is how their countdown finishes while you respawn.
Defending versus rushing
Two team shapes show up around a live nuke.
Defend the lead. You already have the threshold. One player stays on your flag so a 50-point steal cannot flip the mood during the countdown. Two players hold the dirt lips that look at mid. One player is the launcher. The last two hunt anyone walking the surface toward center. This is the shape that actually converts a bar into a wipe.
Rush a trailing bar. You are behind and the HUD is still dark. Rushing mid does not unlock your nuke. You need points: a flag steal from How to Capture the Flag is the fastest legal jump (50), then kills (7), then dirt (1). A six-person mid rush while you are trailing is how the other team farms 7-point deaths and launches their nuke on your corpses.
If both teams are close, the first flag of the late round often decides who touches the object. Call the steal, escort it, then walk mid as a group. Solo hero launches in a tied game are coin flips you do not need.
Badge and why a launch usually wins
Launch a NUKE is the badge for firing it, listed with the rest of the set on Players / Badges. NamuWiki rates it scarce relative to the login Welcome badge. You get it for the launch, not for standing nearby. MVP is a separate badge; do not confuse the two.
A successful nuke usually wins because it deletes the other six in one tick. They stop scoring. You keep the point lead those deaths just padded. Cash and XP land on a round that is no longer in doubt. That is why this page exists as its own guide instead of a footnote on How to Play: the threshold is hidden, the object is mid, and the 15 seconds are a different game from shovel-versus-sword. Play the bar, walk to center when the HUD agrees, and spend the countdown on staying alive — not on a third kill you no longer need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Underground War 2.0 players.
Where is the nuke in Underground War 2.0?
The physical nuke sits at map center between the fortresses. A HUD control (middle-left, near First Aid) is the on-screen launch. Both have to be live.
How many points do I need to launch the nuke?
Unpublished. capserg has not posted a number. Watch the HUD; when the control offers a launch, the threshold is met. Score via the table on How to Play.
How long is the nuke countdown?
About 15 seconds. Defend the launcher, do not teleport, and spend First Aid if it keeps the timer alive. A finished countdown wipes the enemy team.
What does launching the nuke give you?
A wipe on the other six, Cash, rank XP, and a shot at the Launch a NUKE badge. Badge details are on Players / Badges.
